Methodology |
- The workshop was conducted first by explaining about the important factors that govern a successful presentation of the street play. Students were taught use of language, voice modulation and use of high and low pitch during the street play. Hands-on training was given and student-teachers performed street plays by writing a script by themselves.

Initially trainees were divided into two groups to make up a street play of their choice on any social issue. The basics which form the substance of street play were taught later.
- The significance of body language, attitude, verbal clarity, emotions emphasized, enabled each one of them to add to the performance. At the end of the day trainees were asked to re-present the same, bringing in the necessary changes in order to brush up their creativity.

Outcome |
- The workshop enhanced student-teachers performing skills, their sensitivity to social issues and they also deliberated on the messages to be communicated through the street play.

Students learnt about theatre and performing arts and transforming simple stories into wonderful scripts.

Students were equipped with key critical thinking skills, performance skills, speaking and writing skills, public speaking skills and teamwork.

Students learnt about body language, impromptu performance and presenting a story in front of an audience.
