The day 5th September is celebrated as TEACHER’S DAY in India to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishan – the second president of India. We, the entire SY.B.Ed. batch of St. Teresa’s Institute of Education, celebrated Teachers day on 11th September, 2019. We all were very enthusiastic and excited for the celebration right from the beginning. The programme began at sharp 9:00 a.m. in the college hall.
The theme for the day was “RETRO” and the teachers were dressed as per the theme we all welcomed our teachers to the decorated hall with the retro songs. The programme started with the prayer service, especially for the teachers. To rejuvenate the teachers “PENGUIN DANCE” was held in which the teachers participated whole heartedly. Also there were games to amuse the teachers. The skit was put up by some students. The students conveyed gratitude by offering handmade cards and presents to teaching and non-teaching staff. The ONAM DANCE gave the programme a more traditional feel.
The students took efforts and ensured that teachers enjoyed the day and delicious snacks were served for teachers and students. The efforts were appreciated by teachers thus making it a grand success.
