Topic/Subject of the Activity All Mumbai Interschool/Intercollegiate Environment based Festival.
Objectives for conducting Activity
  • To create awareness about important environmental issues.
  • To alert society to the need for environmental conservation.
  • To tap the creative thinking of the student fraternity to evolve ingenious solutions to safeguard the environment.
  • To reach out to the less fortunate by adding a social dimension to the Fest. (Street Children)
  • To train student-teachers in their role as entrepreneurs.
Methodology
  • It is a two day environmental festival which included 12 competitions all based on themes relating to the environment.
  • Schools and Colleges compete on separate platforms and three Awards each are presented to the Best School and College participating at the event.
  • There is networking between the student fraternity, academia, industry, environmental NGO's media and corporates who participate in the fest as a part of their CSR.
Outcome
  • The youth showcased their creativity, ingenuity and critical thinking skills as they endeavoured to prove their concern for environmental protection.
  • Helped student-teachers to nurture their entrepreneurial skills.
